Notice Regarding Student Accounts and Google Services

As part of our use of Google Workspace for Education, Eden Prairie Schools provides students with access to digital tools and services that support learning. In accordance with Google’s updated policies, we are providing notification about the use of Google services for students under the age of 18.

Google may collect, use, and retain personal information from student accounts only for educational purposes and as described in the Google Workspace for Education Privacy Notice. Students under the age of 18 may have access to Google services that are appropriate for their age group, and parental consent may be required for certain services if enabled by the district.

For students under 13, the district manages account access and controls which Google services are available, in compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Parents and guardians can find more information about how Google handles student data here.
