Welcome to Central Middle School! I am honored to serve as your principal and excited to begin this journey alongside our students, families, and staff. CMS is a place where EACH student matters, every voice is valued, and every individual has the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed.

My name is Lomumba Ismail, and education has been my life's work. From being a classroom teacher to school leadership, I have been fortunate to witness the incredible impact that caring adults can have on young people. I believe that when we lead with purpose, build strong relationships, and maintain high expectations, we create schools where students develop the confidence and character to achieve great things.

The middle school years are among the most transformative in a child's life. At CMS, students are discovering their identities, developing their passions, and realizing what they are capable of achieving. Our role is to cultivate an environment where high expectations are matched with unwavering support, empowering EACH student to think deeply, embrace challenges, grow through adversity, and develop the confidence and character to lead purposeful lives.

Our commitment is simple: EACH student deserves to feel that they belong, are safe, and are cared for. These are the conditions that inspire curiosity, foster resilience, and empower students to reach their full potential. Learning, service, leadership, the arts, athletics and meaningful connections prepare our students for the journey ahead.
