Special Education Busing
Our Transportation Department collaborates closely with students, families, caregivers, IEP teams, and school staff to implement the best type of transportation that will support your student's safety, well-being, and educational success. Alternative transportation, including curb-to-curb service, is available for students who benefit from additional supports because of a disability or the location of their program.
Sign Up for Special Education Busing
Prior to obtaining Special Education busing, families must complete the Emergency Health Bus Form, and a member of your student’s Special Services Team must complete a Request for Services Form. We process requests as quickly as possible; however, it may take up to five working days to arrange transportation.
Bus Consistency
We understand the importance of consistency for student and family success, and we strive to maintain continuity for students throughout the school year. If we need to make a change to your student's transportation schedule because of other families adjusting their schedules, we will notify you before changes are made.
Alternate Address Drop-Off/Pick-Up
This only applies to daily situations and not to one-time or infrequent circumstances. The alternate address must be in the general area of the student's home and within our district boundaries.
Students will not be picked up or delivered to a business address.
In case of an emergency, an adult guardian or caregiver must be able to meet your student at their drop-off location. Please notify our Transportation Office as soon as possible if you need to request an alternate address for pick-up or drop-off.
Absentee Notification
Please call our Transportation Department at 952-975-7500 at least one hour prior to their scheduled pick-up/drop-off time to tell us that your student will not be riding the bus.
