
Submit Attendance
You can submit absences directly from your Parent Portal instead of through a separate form, and you can submit for multiple students at once. These are the steps:
First, log into the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. (Here are directions!)
Use the shortcut button on the homepage that says Absence Requests, or click on More -> Absence Requests.
Enter:
- The student(s) you are submitting an absence request for
- The reason the student(s) will be absent from the Excuse dropdown list.
- Absence Type — full day, arrive late, or leave early.
- Absence Day and Time. If your student will be gone for at least one full day, enter the first and last day they will not be at school (can be the same day).
- Comments about the reason for the absence.
- Choose the Submit button at bottom when finished!
Previously submitted absence requests can be viewed or deleted using the options at the bottom of the Absence Requests area.

Please refer to District Policy 503 - Student Attendance for detailed information about excused and unexcused absence reasons, responsibilities of students, families and staff, and how the district works to encourage regular school attendance.
A additional option is to call the attendance line or the health office of the school your student attends to leave a voicemail. All phone numbers can be found in the Schools menu.

Full Day
A parent/guardian needs to call the school attendance line or submit an absence directly from Parent Portal prior to, or the day of the absence.
Coming Late
Students arriving late must have parents/guardians call the attendance line or submit an absence directly from Parent Portal.
Leaving Early
Please inform the school at least two hours prior to the time your student will leave school by either submitting absences directly from Parent Portal or calling your school’s attendance line.
Sick at School
If the student is feeling ill, they should go to the Health Office. If they need to be sent home, the Health Office staff will call you.
Extended Planned Absence
Please only complete the below form if your student will be absent for more than 15 days. For all other requests, please call your school's attendance line or submit absences directly from your Parent Portal
Parent or guardian needs to submit Extended Planned Absence Form at least a week before the first day of absence.
According to the Minnesota Department of Education’s enrollment guidelines, we must end your child’s enrollment if they are absent for more than 15 consecutive days. To get your child reenrolled with Eden Prairie Schools, email the Welcome Center at enroll@edenpr.org at least 5-7 days prior to your return date so we can provide a smooth transition for your child. Please do not send your child to school without contacting enroll@edenpr.org.
