What is the Bilingual/Multilingual Seal Testing?
EPHS is offering the opportunity for students in grades 10-12 to earn a Bilingual/Multilingual Seal or World Language Proficiency Certificate on their diploma. In order to be awarded one of the Seals or the Certificate, students must show proficiency in all of the four modalities: listening, reading, speaking, and writing. For more information please visit Minnesota Bilingual Seals and Information for Families.
The test will take place on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at Eden Prairie High School. If your student is interested in taking the test, please have them fill out the Bilingual Seal Registration Form. As part of our continued commitment to provide barrier-free testing opportunities for all students, there will be no cost associated to take it.
There will also be a spring testing opportunity, which will include the following additional languages: Amharic, Czech, Dakota, Dari, Hmong, Karen, Ojibwe, Oromo, Pashto, Somali (Maay Maay), Somali (Maxaa), Ukrainian, Tamil, and Vietnamese. If the language in which you want to be tested is not listed, please reach out to EPSAssessment@edenpr.k12.mn.us.
Registration closes on Tuesday, November 25 at 4:00 pm.
For questions please call Lomumba Ismail, Associate Principal, at 952-975-8067, or Junior Reyes-Almonte (Spanish) at 952-975-2548.
