    PSAT Information for all 2024-25 10th and 11th grade students

    PSAT Information for all 2024-25 10th and 11th grade students

    The Preliminary Scholastic Assessment Test (PSAT) is a practice version of the SAT, a college entrance exam. There are two versions of the PSAT test. 10th graders can take the PSAT 10 and 11th graders can take the PSAT National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT). Taking the PSAT/NMSQT as a junior is how you are entered into the National Merit Scholarship Program competition and to be eligible for scholarships. Taking the PSAT is not required for college admissions. 

    The PSAT/NMSQT will be administered to 11th graders on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 and PSAT 10 to 10th graders on Wednesday, October 30, 2024. Testing will be held on a regular school day at Eden Prairie High School for all participating EPO and EPHS students. The exam typically takes 2-3 hours, and students will be automatically excused from the classes they miss while testing. Eden Prairie Schools covers all PSAT exam fees for 10th and 11th graders at EPO and EPHS, and free test prep is available.

    Students who receive ML services or have a 504 or IEP may request testing accommodations through the registration form below. Please note, the College Board does not guarantee approval of accommodations requested after Thursday, September 5.
