    Advanced Placement (AP) Program

At Eden Prairie High School, we believe every student should have the opportunity to experience college-level learning before graduation. Through the College Board’s Advanced Placement (AP) Program, students can challenge themselves with rigorous coursework while also gaining the opportunity to earn college credit or place into higher-level college courses. AP courses not only prepare students for the academic expectations of college, but also build critical thinking, problem-solving, and time management skills that serve them well beyond high school.

AP courses are designed by the College Board to mirror the rigor and expectations of introductory college classes. Each course follows a nationally developed curriculum and concludes with an AP exam in May. Many colleges and universities award credit, advanced placement, or both based on students’ exam scores, which can save families time and money on college tuition. Beyond the potential for college credit, AP courses give students the chance to explore subjects in greater depth, strengthen academic skills, and demonstrate their commitment to challenging themselves on college and scholarship applications.

Eden Prairie Schools AP Exam Registration 2025–26

The Fall AP exam Registration deadline is November 2 at 11:59 p.m.!

This deadline is ONLY for courses that begin Term 1 and Exam Only courses!

If you are in an AP course that begins in Term 2, 3, or 4, you must register in the Spring Registration window. That window opens January 5 and the deadline is March 1 at 11:59 p.m.

AP testing at Eden Prairie High School is available to:

    • Current EPHS students
    • Current EPO Secondary students
    • Eden Prairie residents who are homeschooled.

Due to capacity limitations, we are unable to accommodate students outside of these groups. Families seeking additional testing locations can find more information here.
